Community

Living the life of Jesus Christ is best encouraged and accomplished when walking it out with others. Community is about sharing, it is about participating, it is about joining together with a common purpose. We need people in our lives to walk with us, watch over us and cheer us on as we strive to live lives worthy of the calling.

Discipleship

There is something about sharing meals, praying, and studying God’s Word together that moves us toward becoming passionate followers of Christ. As we allow the Truth to dwell richly in our hearts (Colossians 3:16), fears and insecurities begin to fade. We begin to walk confidently in the power of the Holy Spirit and we find ourselves full of purpose and zeal to live each day to its fullest.

Outreach

It is always nice to have a safe place to invite friends who have questions about God but have mixed feelings about “church”. Because these groups are relaxed and are not bound to any particular time restraints or agendas, there is a freedom to focus on building relationships with those who may be visiting.

One of the ways that Soma reaches out to the community of Tyler is through our Life Groups. Each group serves in unique ways to meet needs in our city.

About CONNECT

Every month we have events designed to “connect” people. Whether it’s a fun filled day at the park or a simple dinner outing after Soma, you will be able to meet our Life Group leaders and connect with other group members. Check the Soma calendar for our next Connect.
