Missions
Soma is actively involved in three specific ministries that uniquely impact the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
For The Silent
For The Silent helps children silenced by sex trafficking and exploitation through advocacy, prayer, and fundraising initiatives. We are singers, runners, and crafters, artists, dancers, prayers. We are ordinary advocates using our voices to help bring prevention, rescue, and aftercare to exploited children worldwide. Read more at the For The Silent website.
Messianic Jewish Bible Institute
The mission of the MJBI is to prepare this generation to reach the lost sheep of the house of Israel. The MJBI primarily serves to equip leaders who will establish Messianic Jewish congregations and ministries in Jewish communities worldwide. Additionally, the MJBI seeks to equip the Church in its responsibility to take the Good News to the Jew first (Romans 1:16). Like Paul, the MJBI helps educate Christians in their role to provoke the Jewish people to jealousy and thus save some of them (Romans 11:11-14). Read more at the MJBI website.
Modern Day Missions
The mission of Modern Day Missions is to facilitate the sending out of workers into the harvest field. This is accomplished by developing partnerships between a local church such as Soma, and foreign based missionaries or national workers. Currently, MDM is assisting two Soma affiliated missionaries: Marvin Slaton in China and Mary Margaret Scott in Guatemala. MDM helps these and other missionaries by assisting with their financial and administrative affairs.
