Serving

To live The Life of Jesus Christ is to become a servant. Our desire is to be people who look for opportunities to serve rather than to be served and to "count others more significant than ourselves" (Philippians 2:3). Our hope is that as you discover your passions, gifts and strengths, you will become active in serving your church, your city and the nations.

Serving Soma

A great way to connect into the life of Soma is to begin serving along side your church family. Whether on Sundays or during the week, whether behind the scenes or up front, whether in leadership or in a supporting role, there are plenty of opportunities to mature your gifts and talents and use them to glorify God as you become a significant part of "building up the Body of Christ" (Ephesians 4:12).

Serving Tyler

Soma does not exist only to worship God in our services but also by showing compassion to the harassed and helpless, the poor and the needy, the desperate and searching. We hope to be "ministers of reconciliation" (2 Corinthians 5:18-19) as we purposely extend our lives and share the powerful message of the cross to those around us in our neighborhoods, schools, workplaces, and in every other area available to us.

Soma does not desire to reinvent the wheel when it comes to reaching out to our city but rather to partner with organizations that are already doing great things for the Kingdom of God by volunteering our time and energy.

Serving the nations

Though Soma strives to make a deep impact within our own community, we also recognize the mandate to "make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19).

We are excited to partner with and support ministry efforts that are already touching the lives of people across the world and we encourage our church family to get involved by praying for these ministries, selflessly giving of their finances and by going on short and long term missions trips.
